Swashbuckling Cornwall has teamed up with Polmartin Riding Stables near Liskeard, Cornwall to offer this great course and for the first time we are now running one course a month at the weekend!
Designed especially for actors and performers, this course will cover the basics of riding & stable management- including mounting, dismounting, holding a mark, tacking, stable management, working with horses on set and more!

You’ll also have the opportunity to take our Riding for Actors Level 1 exam, as listed on Spotlight.

2 Day Course Cost: £295
On site Self Catering accommodation available for £35 per person, per night
The stables is in a rural areas with no direct public transport link.
The closest train station is Liskeard- If you are traveling by train or bus we can arrange a collection/drop off at the station for additional fee.

This course is a joint course between Swashbuckling Cornwall Ltd & Polmartin Riding School Ltd.
1. Refunds are not offered on places except in the event of our cancelling the course.
2. We reserve the right to alter course times, course content and to cancel the course due to any unavoidable and /or unforeseen circumstances.
3. In the interest of safety of staff, participants, and horses we reserve the right to refuse, stop or postpone training at any time.
4. We reserve the right to refuse admission or tuition.
5. Over 18s only.
6.Maximum weight is 14 stone (87kg) due to strength of horses.
7. Participants need to be able physically able to mount and dismount a horse unaided.
8. By booking a place on this course, you accept the terms and conditions of the company and release it from blame for any injury during the course.
We suggest all participants have their own private insurance.
Cancellation policy/refunds
Refunds are not offered on course places, accommodation or station pick up/drop off.
Upon written request you can move your booking once only within a 12-month period. If prices increase during this time any difference in price may have to be paid. After that period the booking shall be void, any new sign up would need to be paid again in full.
If we cancel the course a refund or roll over of place will be offered.
