3 Day Course in Riding for Film & TV

24th - 26th April 2017

Many actors claim to be able to ride, yet some have never even sat on a horse!

Whether you have been riding for years or are just starting out, this is the course for you!

This course has been tailored to suit the needs of actors in the film & television sector. This is not a course for stunt riders.

For beginners, we will give you a solid foundation to build on for future work and training. For those with experience, it will help you reassess your skills, develop new ones and put you to the test!

Everyone will get the opportunity to develop their knowledge of working with horses, mounted and dismounted, to find out ways of faking it and how to remain safe on set.

A taster of what we will cover:

  • Mounting, dismounting

  • Riding (inside/outside/hacks)

  • Stopping on a mark and staying there!

  • Tacking

  • Riding in pairs/formation riding

  • Basic sword play

  • Working around obstacles

  • Riding with props e.g. swords, helmets

  • Faking it

  • And lots more!

The course head instructor is Jane Jebweb. Jane has ten years of experience in the film industry and has trained many actors to look great on a horse in front of the camera.  The horses that will be ridden as part of this course all have all been in films or TV shows.
